Happy 2nd Year Anniversary!

February 15, 2008 marks the  2nd Year Anniversary of the Sisters In Business Enterprise!  It seems like it was just a few months ago that we celebrated our 1st Year Anniversary and the Grand Opening of Sisters In Business.Net, as shown in the photo below.  Now we are beginning a third year or connecting businesses with the communities they serve.

We thank God for what has been another great year of business!  As we continue to offer services designed to help Network, Advertise, Market, and Empower  business (the SIB Business NAME Strategy), having dedicated our first two years to networking, advertising, and marketing solutions, we now will turn our focus to "Empowerment".

Our Business Agenda for 2008 is "Empowerment Through   Education, Training, and Information Technology for People and Business!" We would like to thank every client, customer, partner, friend, and the community at large for your support and interest in the efforts we make.

To date the SIB Network has registered over 250 members, and has thousands of web and newsletter viewers each month.  Our mission to connect women, men, and youth in business, with the communities they serve, continues.

In celebrating our 2nd Year Anniversary, we are offering FREE STUFF, to include Business Ad Coupons.  This is to benefit businesses, customers, and help us satisfy the customers visiting our site seeking coupons!  Read more about special offers and more below.

You Make Us Blush!

The start of our 3rd year has also been made possible by the great reception from newsletter viewers and website visitors locally, nationally, and worldwide.  Thanks to our viewers, and also the media (TV, radio, newspaper, websites) who has covered our members, news, and events and shared it with the public.

This month in the February 2008 issue of Blush Magazine, you will find in the "Her Mark" section, an article written about the Sisters In Business Network, AYES, and SIB CEO Tekelia C. Kelly.  To Writer Nancy Henderson, Editor Laura Knox, and Photographer Jamie Rahaim, "Thank you for making us blush!"  Click here to read SIB's online version of article.

Employers Wanted for AYES Youth In Business Training Program

We are seeking businesses and professionals who would be interested in participating in the AYES Youth In Business Program as a business consultant, sponsor, employer, mentor, or other type of supporter.

Businesses will be given the opportunity to serve as subject matter experts on class business projects and applications as they relate to their businesses, and have a platform to demo products and services, share company information, and present job opportunities.

AYES also offers employers a great resource for finding young job-ready, skilled, and professionally groomed employees or business services providers.  In addition to helping employers  find prospective new employees, the AYES program can also assist employers in training its new and current workforce, as well as work in partnership with employers to customize  AYES training for identified students for hire.

Computer technology and business skills training, blended with career development, mentoring, and business community interaction, make for viable alternatives that can empower the socio-economic development and income opportunities of youth. That's 'A Yes'!
