Sisters In Business.Net Wishes You a Happy Easter!
Have a Blessed "Resurrection Day"!
Just as Christ was raised from the dead by the
glory of the Father, even so we also should walk
in newness of life. -Romans 6:4
Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection
and the life. He who believes in me will
live, even if he dies; and everyone who
lives and believes in me will never die. Do
you believe this?" -John 11:25-26
We all too often read these words and
overlook their significance but Jesus is
saying more than we at first understand. He
is telling a grieving woman who is mourning
her brother's death that she does not need
to wait till the final day for her brother's
resurrection but that One who has power over
death is with her that very day. Jesus is
saying to this woman, and to all of us, that
the resurrection is not a consequence of the
end of time, that it is not the result of
the beginning of eternity, but that it is
the result of His personal power over death
itself. Jesus the man who is also God is
personally the resurrection, He Himself is
life. The apostle John begins his gospel
with this very message:
John 1:1-4 - In the beginning was the Word,
and the Word was with God, and the Word was
God. He was with God in the beginning.
Through him all things were made; without
him nothing was made that has been made. In
him was life, and that life was the light of
men.
Jesus
Christ! The
resurrection and the life...and the light of men.

Oh, Victory in Jesus! The Story Continues!
I love the Easter Story! (Found in
Bible scriptures Matthew 28:1-20, Mark 16:1-19, Luke
24:1-53, and John 20:1 - 22:25). No matter how many
times I see it, read it, or hear it, it makes me so
happy to know "Jesus got up" from the grave! I also
love to hear, "He stayed there all day Friday; He
stayed there all day Saturday... but on that third
day, HE GOT UP WITH ALL POWER IN HIS HANDS!" It
just does something for my soul!
I remember hearing a sermon by a
powerful young woman minister, who described how
trees may look dead in the winter, but they are
actually just preparing to come back for the
spring.
This powerful principle can also be
applied in our lives; as things that may appear dead
or hopeless to us; in Christ, can be made to live
again!
More and more in this world, there
seems to be situations in life that "appear"
hopeless. I can personally recall a situation that
left me feeling so distraught and heartbroken--just
really spent mentally, spiritually, intellectually,
and emotionally. I "felt" like the floor had fallen
out from under me, and I was being buried alive. It
was hopelessness at a whole new level.
But the Holy Spirit comforted me and
spoke to me with His Word; reminding me how all
power is in God's hands! And that the very same
power that rose Jesus from the dead is at work in my
life--just believe, trust, and obey. "Stand still
and see the salvation of the Lord".
With this truth renewed in my spirit,
my faith strengthened. I began looking at things
that appeared dead and hopeless as divine
opportunities for God to raise them up, and use them
for my and others' good; and all for His Glory!
We are now entering into spring time;
a time when we can see even more evidences of God's
resurrecting power still at work.
1) The seed planted in the ground
goes through what some say is a dying process; in
order for it to bear fruit afterward. This reminds
me of our Holy Seed Jesus, who went into the ground,
to bear us as His fruit in the faith.
2) Then there's the amazing story of
the butterfly; changed from a caterpillar that once
temporarily lived in a cocoon; only to break out
with wings to fly. This reminds me of how I was once
a worm lost in the world; but now am saved and set
free by God's amazing grace. I was given His "beauty
for my ashes"; and "life more abundantly"!
I received an automated phone call
from Dr. Charles Stanley the other day; being a
member of his Impact Prayer Team. It went into my
voice mail, and I saved the message to listen to
over again. I wrote it down, and wanted to share it
with you.
"As believers we enjoy
the incredible privilege of prayer; available,
because of our relationship with Jesus Christ!
Prayer is powerful! As Ephesians 1 tells us
tells us the same power that raised Jesus from
the dead is available for us. If Jesus can
defeat sin and death through the resurrection,
isn't He able to give you victory over your
circumstances? What trial could ever require
more power than this? There isn't a single one.
So remember this power from God every
time you kneel before Him in prayer. The
victory has been won! Trust and obey. He will
use every resource necessary to accomplish His
will for you.
And thank you for your prayerful support
of In Touch Ministries.
May you see God's awesome power at work
in your life today."
---Dr. Charles
Stanley
And likewise, it is my prayer
that you be more empowered with the Resurrecting
Power of Jesus Christ! Happy Easter! Happy
Resurrection Day!

I heard an old, old story,
How a Savior came from glory,
How He gave His life on Calvary
To save a wretch like me;
I heard about His groaning,
Of His precious blood's atoning,
Then I repented of my sins;
And won the victory.
Chorus
:
O victory in Jesus,
My Savior, forever.
He sought me and bought me
With His redeeming blood;
He loved me ere I knew Him,
And all my love is due Him,
He plunged me to victory,
Beneath the cleansing flood.
|
|
I heard about His healing,
Of His cleansing power revealing.
How He made the lame to walk again
And caused the blind to see;
And then I cried, "Dear Jesus,
Come and heal my broken spirit,"
And somehow Jesus came and brought
To me the victory.
Chorus

Share Your Story!
While sharing our stories one day in the kitchen, my
daughter made the profound statement, "I don't know,
Mom....I guess it's just part of my story". Her wise and
empowering comment, along with her sharing her stories,
so blessed me!
It seems more and more I realize how life is not just
about what we go through personally, but also how we
help others go through life. Our life stories are
meaningful and purposeful, and even more so when we
share them to help others along the way.
People we come in contact with in life may need a
special word of wisdom, insight, humor, experience,
encouragement, inspiration, empowerment, or knowledge
from us. The Bible tells us we overcome by the Blood of
the Lamb, and the word of our testimonies. Revelation
12:11
May God lead us and guide us in sharing our stories, and
His--the greatest story of all, of how "For God so loved
the world that He gave His only begotten Son (Jesus
Christ, our Perfect Lamb), that whosoever believes in
Him should not perish, but have everlasting life! John
3:16. |

A New Normal
Just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father,
even so we also should walk in newness of life. —Romans 6:4
Jesus redeemed us and died in our stead;
In Him we died and rose from the dead.
No longer is death a thing that we dread;
The old is behind us, the new is ahead. —D. De Haan
To be “in Christ” is to share in His life, in His death, and
in His resurrection.
