Deferred Until later date The Disparity Study, scheduled to reviewed by the Chattanooga City Council the week of June 27, has been deferred until a later date to assure ample attendance of council members. The study involves several factors, of which include the analysis of contracting practices, and equal opportunity for participation in contracts where minorities and women owned businesses are concerned. Also the study is to provide "both qualitative and quantative data from a socio-economic perspective that will be used to drive the work of the Office of Multicultural Affairs and its advisory board." Starting the month of August 2006, Sisters In Business will host its new series of "Lunch & Learn" networking meetings to provide networking opportunities for its members as well as those in the Chattanooga area. The Lunch & Learn Networking meetings will also feature Subject Matter Experts (SME) from business, industry, healthcare, legal, government, and also the community.
Each Sister In Business Client and Partner will be given the opportunity to participate in "marketing minutes" by personally presenting their business and services at the meeting.
